Explosion Proof Sanitary Ball Valves
Explosion Proof Sanitary Ball Valves are power-to-open, power-to-close valves that stay in their last known position with the loss of power. When a continuous voltage signal is received from the actuator, the motor runs and via a self-locking gear drive rotates the ball. The armature then contacts the valve seat and stops. When a reversing continuous voltage signal is received the motor reverses direction and the valve closes.
These explosion proof valves are designed to handle a wide range of fluid temperatures and pressures. These are ideal for flammable or explosive liquids, gases and powders as well as mixed media. These are sanitary valves that have been approved by ISO and the TSI. They have a simple design with little moving parts that makes them easy to maintain and operate. They are also water hammer-safe and insensitive to pressure shocks within the pipe system. They are made from 316 SS with a blowout proof stem and reinforced PTFE seats and seals.
The electric actuator on this explosion-proof valve is designed to be used in a hazardous environment. The actuator is manufactured in an explosion-proof manner using components and cables different from ordinary ones to ensure that the motor does not generate electrical sparks during operation in a flammable or explosive environment. The actuator can accept a continuous voltage signal for opening or closing the valve and a 4-20mA signal for proportional control of the valve. It can also be manually operated.
